I SOLVED MY FYP!!

Last 2 weeks ago, i was stuck in my FYP. Some logical errors in my coding and i can't find it. It just did not generate the results i expected. Got so tensed up I barely can sleep during the night.

I shared my problems in my discipleship class, an equipping course i enrolled to learn more of God's word. And Ms. Sia, our facilitator advised me to take a break, pray, and then come back to it again. Then, "TA DAM" the answer will jz pop out. I doubted it at first.

Honestly, everything in my life before this was quite smooth. I have good grades, good in almost everythin i do, be it music, leading or working in a team, planning etc. I somehow never really relied 100% on God in everything i do. It felt to me as if I can do it on my own.

So, i tried out Ms. Sia's advice. I left it aside for one week. Actually i did that also because i have alot of assignments due last week. And i knew if i start my fyp and get stuck, i wouldn't move on to my other assignments. So, i dumped it aside and finished all my other assignments first. In the same time, i prayed every nite asking for God's wisdom and guidance in helping me solve my FYP.

Just earlier, 30mins ago, i opened my FYP and thought of continuing to do it. I set myself a time limit. 12AM max. If i can't figure anything out by then, I must stop and go to sleep!! Guess wat?! I solved it in 15mins!! HAHA!!

I've learned a very big lesson this time. I MUST DEPEND ON GOD!! Thank you Ms. Sia, Joseph, Fenice for all your comforting words. And many thanks to those who kept me in their prayers!! Im really thankful for that. Most of all, THANK YOU LORD!! =)

Cleaned my whole house yesterday. Paid RM50 for a maid to help out. Attacked by Sinus again during the cleaning. Sneezed non-stop. Couldn't find my meds. Ended up with my runny nose till when i finally bought my Clarinase at 9PM!! T__T

Washed my hands and feet at least 100 times yesterday. I just hate the sticky dirty feeling on my palms. Been applying intensive-care lotion and Silic 15 after every wash. Hope eczema doesn't come finding me again.

Guess where all the rubbish went?!

Meet my research project supervisor today. Getting "FYP Stress" now. Was giving a book on process integration to read up on water (property) and energy integration. Arranged for another meeting on next Monday. Must make sure i finished all my readings before our next meeting.

Printer cable "rosak" (not working). Can't print stuffs. Needa go find new cable later. Haiz.

Who said engineer can't teach piano?!

I'm going to Langkawi!! from 21st to 25th August.. it s the Guorami Business Challenge organized by Shell.. working in teams to come out with a business plan for this fictional country, Guorami.. If we perform well, we'll get a job offer upon graduation..

Before this, while waiting for the results of this assessment, was very stress.. coz so ngam this Guorami thingy clashes with MPYO Camp.. Then one day, Audrey called to ask of my attendance to the MPYO Camp.. and I told her "sorry, I can't give you an answer now.. I'm waiting for this Guorami assessment result.." coz obviously if i were selected for this Guorami, i would certainly choose Guorami over MPYO..

I understand it's unfair for MPYO to "wait" for my confirmation considering they needa arrange transportation, food, accomodation etc. So i thot it'll be only fair if I told them to count me out.. So, i told Audrey i'm not goin the MPYO no matter what the assessment results come out to be..

Rodson reminded me that what I've decided means "if" i din get the Guorami, i'll miss MPYO Camp too.. i totally expected tat but i thot i ought to make a decision!! and now i'm thankful to God that my decision is of the wisest!! =) hehe..

finally back to school again..

refreshing start..

dono why this beginning of the sem felt different.. probably because i'm finally a FINAL YEAR STUDENT.. lately everytime i log on into facebook, i'll see albums and albums titled "GRADUATION" T__T sigh.. most of my secondary frens graduated.. i think im the only one left who hasnt graduated.. i do admit there's slight feeling of jealousy..

gave the graduation thingy some thought and start doing my maths.. i'll be finishing my studies in June 2009.. the graduation in Curtin only takes place once a year in April.. which means i can only get to post MY OWN "GRADUATION" ALBUM on facebook in April 2010?!?!?! OMG!!

had afew classes this morning.. advance separation, advance particles.. should be managable.. design project 499 first class has been one of the most stress-ing class i had in my whole uni life.. we knew from seniors that the unit controller will be dividing us into groups (making sure we don't get to be with our friends).. they believe it can train us to work in an international diversified team next time when we are out there working.. T__T then there was the topic lucky draw session.. i considered myself quite lucky.. my team members are quite good ones.. even got myself a good topic - Biodiesel plant!! =)

first 2 days in Shell..

yesterday was my first day in Shell.. basically we did NOTHING!! haha.. coz all our supervisors are on-leave, so we didnt get to meet our teams..

btw "our" meaning: i have made new frens.. =) one is Chow from West Malaysia (Universiti Malaya) and another one is Alvin who currently is studyin in Melb Uni (from Kuching)..

arrived 7am at Shell.. Yapp sent me to work coz i have no car.. dad drove the car over from KK and reached here only at nite.. went for a morning coffee in Coffee Bean then headed off to the main building.. got a visitor pass from the front desk.. then waited for Zul at the lobby..

8am.. we went inside the office.. had to go through the ID-card scanning devices.. watever u call it.. then was being briefed on safety, health issues, copyright issues, allowances and blabla..

then i got a chance to meet up wif my mentor, Mr. Oddbjorn Skilbrei.. he's really frenly!! =) chat for quite awhile.. and then told me he'll arrange a meet-up with my team together wif a stand-in supervisor asap..

so i left his room and went back to the "WAITING ROOM" where we waited for another like 1 hour.. haiz.. then Zul came in and say "im sorry guys, i'll hav to let u go back.. theres nothin more to do here.."

haha lol.. quite interesting rite.. i was done for the day at 11am!! haha lol..

today, 2nd day of training.. went at 8am.. as usual.. dumped inside the "waiting room".. moved to another "quiet room" which oso means "waiting room" to me.. and we actually waited until 11am!! haha lol..

but thank God after that, Zul gave me good news.. he said my stand-in supervisor is ready to meet me.. he's Mr. Yong.. he's very helpful.. despite so being busy wif his on-hand jobs.. he still managed to bring me around the office to meet the rest of the team members..

btw, i havnt mentioned.. i was placed in the production technologies dept.. workin along side with production engineers, reservoir engineers, petrophysicist and geologists..

lastly i was brought to my temporary work station.. i actually had a desk of my own!! COOL!! and was seated juz beside Mr. Marcus.. who's a very experienced production technologist.. he briefed me quite in details some introduction in petroleum engineering as he told me that the knowledge in necessary in projects that i would soon be asked to handle.. he's really helpful.. really sat down and taught me things one by one.. details by details..

end of the day he gave me a manual.. manual to a software which i would need to learn to use in my projects later on.. it was kinda boring.. so basically the afternoon half of my day was stucked in my workplace reading manuals!!! haha lol..

that was pretty wat happened in the first 2 days of my internship wif Shell.. i hope there'll be more to come.. more challenges.. more things to do.. more interestings tasks!!! =)

19 Nov, what a day?!

alot of things happened this week.. not only did i finish my exam.. which is a really wonderful thing (especially when seeing others still having that "OMG, exam is in an hour time.. " look) haha lol.. juz kidding..

yesterday, pastor announced that she will be leaving us next semester.. it was really sudden.. we had actually planned next year's activities in meeting.. only now to find out that she needs to be posted to another church.. we'll definitely miss her so much!! =)

then today Rodson left me.. this really hurts.. i told myself i shudnt cry especially in front of his parents and his frens.. bt i really couldnt resist it.. he has been everythin i had for this whole 3 and a half year of my university life.. we spent almost every time we had together.. makan.. shopping.. studies..

Rodson has been a really great fren, a brother.. a family to me.. =) i'll sure be missing him so much.. i juz couldnt imagine how i can cope without him next semester.. wif my lousy driving skills and carelessness (always forgot my wallet).. maybe its time i should grow up.. haha lol..

oyah.. not to mention last nite me and rodson had surprise bday gifts from my church frens.. geez thanks alot.. =) to be honest, i hav always hope for bday surprises almost every year.. i had them quite a number of times oredy.. but i juz don like the feeling if nobody were to remember my bday.. im very touched.. i actually expected cakes and u know the usualy "happy bday" song thingy.. bt duh.. its fine.. im very satisfied oredy.. thanks for the wallet and belt and pen set.. haha lol.. to Ferdinand, Fenice, Wong Peng Hi, Chung Wei, Robert, Joseph and Kathryn.. =)

juz afew minutes earlier.. fenice came to my house... she got me another present.. haha lol.. she said its somethin special for me.. im so thrilled to find out that its the Bible i've actually said i like weeks ago.. haha lol.. i planned to buy it on my own.. now that i don hav to buy, thanks alot Fenice.. =) i know its sorta an insult and reminder that i shud read my Bible more.. bt then i really appreciate it =) thanks again..

Last saturday we found this cat on the road side.. that time LingKhing was driving.. me and Rodson in the car.. Rodson dono why suddenly fell for this cat.. he actually thought its CUTE!! OMG.. he insisted on bringing it back home and asked me whether we should keep it.. DUH..

LingKhing of course allowed us to bring the cat back using her car.. but only one condition that the cat should not be inside the car..

these are some of the shoutouts i noted in my friends' frendster profile today.. made me wonder what does my life is like??

i think i would say "My life is like a box of colour pencils!!" always colourful!! there are times when my life is coloured bright!! i shud say mostly its bright in colours.. im thankful for that.. thankful to the Lord, thankful to everyone who has been giving me opportunities, supports, helps, aids.. really reminds me of how lucky i am in life!! =)

There are also times wen my life will be coloured in blue.. depressions.. happened quite sometimes lately.. but still i hav frens to help me change that colour tone.. be it from dark blue to light blue or even from dark blue to green!!!

Green.. used to think that green is yucky.. would never wear anythin in green.. bt now i hav a totally diff perspective to it.. it now makes me feel calm, tranquil.. days when i prefer to b alone.. not to be observed by anyone.. i would wear green!! =)

Being a very emotional person i believe RED oso play an important part in my life.. red gives different feelings from anger to achievements, pride!! to embarrasment!! haha lol..

if any day of my life is coloured black, i rather not to leave my house.. haha lol.. to me, black symbolizes unluckiness.. ya.. although like i mentioned before that im quite lucky in life.. there are oso times when my whole day will be so unlucky.. that i'll trip over something so BIG anyone could have noticed without their eyes looking down on the floor.. or when i get throat-cut by the stupid hairstylist who thinks he's the stylist who styled Christina Aguilera's hair!! especially in lucky draws!! haha lol cant believe it that i have never won a single lucky draw in my whole life.. NOT EVEN AN IRON!!! haha lol..

my frens sometimes say i like to live in dreams.. in fantasy.. haha lol.. (most ppl doesnt know) its commonly known as the "perasan" term i think.. maybe thats when my life is coloured in pastel colours.. haha lol.. soft and transparent..

But of all, i would say my life is generally ORANGE!! haha lol.. happy, jolly, crazy, stupid, brilliant, vibrant.. oopz.. haha lol.. gila!!! some should say.. i juz hope my orange colour pencil in my box is the longest and that it'll better never end!! =) black.. make it as short as possible!! haha lol..

last sunday my campus organized a carnival.. this is actually a yearly thingy.. Curtin Open Day 07

bt for the first time.. it was being grandly organized.. partly is becoz its jointly organized by the admin together wif the student council.. thats why theres lots of activities.. from enrolment information to scholarship enquiries to career talks.. tonnes of performances to competitions like Curtin Idol.. exhibitions from different facutlies.. kids corner.. and not to mention FOOD STALLS..

however in my opinion, the food this time wasnt that good.. haha lol.. but we did enjoy most of the performances on stage.. and not to forget the kids corner!!!!!! cant believe my fellow frens can still enjoy themselves so much there..!!

finally the mpyo gala concert is over.. kinda miss it though.. the week i spent in kl was really colourful.. in short, i would juz say that theres no one word to describe my whole experience there..

excited, bored, thrilled, depressed, proud, desperate, amazed, happy...

i would like to juz express my deepest gratitude to first of course my dear God, for He has never stop loving me by giving me only all the best.. Thanks Lord for the opportunity... i don deserve this.. considering i don hav even grade 1 in double bass... next i would like to thank my dearest SUPER yiYi... for giving me everythin i need for this, for preparing me since i was a child so that i could achieve something like this!! next is my mum who has owez stand firm in supporting whatever it has to do wif my music life.. although ya momzi objected me into studyin music bt i do understand her purposes... and im lucky even to hav such a smart, considerate momzi... for her, i havnt regret even a single bit not taking up music as my full time career... bt still i believe thats why God blessed me with this gift to play in MPYO... all bcoz i was obedient to my mum.. haha lol

i really do appreciate what i achieved today.. remember last time in national service we used to hav a character building module... in it we were asked to draw out 3 of our wildest dreams... i remember i drew myself performing on the stage of DFP wif MPO members... i believe i hav made that dream come true.. even though im not playin wif the MPO members... but come to think of it.. its pretty impossible for someone like me (half bucket water) to play in DFP...

that very moment when i was standing up proudly wif others of MPYO members acknowledging the war-like applause from the audience, i told myself "I MADE IT!!" im so touched.. so happy, so excited, so thankful!!!

pissed off day!!

i was so pissed last nite. at first waited at student service for nearly half an hour juz for a stupid fax from MPYO sending over a letter for exemption of classes. Coz i'll be skipping classes the whole of next week goin to KL for rehearsals and the gala concert...

after i got the letter i rushed to the engineering office and was thinking that after passing it to the AA, everything will be over... instead, she looked at my letter then said only 2 sentences "no signature, no letterhead. How do i know whether this is a fake?" then she threw my letter at one side and continued wif her work... i thot at first "ok, maybe i was interrupting her when i approached her... so the least i can do is to let her finish her current task then maybe she'll attend to me again later..." but to my surprise... she totally ignored me... continued wif her OTHER WORKS... leaving alone standing there like an idiot... after like 5-10mins... i finally gave in saying "if it's really necessary for me, i can ask my organization to reproduce a proper letter and ask then to send over..." then baru she said "ya, maybe u should!!"

im so pissed... im so pissed bcoz of her rude attitude... she not only ignored me... bt was totally unhelpful at all!!! ok... mayb i was wrong coz my letter wasnt "complete"... bt the least she could do is to let me know... telling "u should go ask ur organization to rewrite another letter" and not let me stand there like an idiot!!! and the worst thing... its so rude to suspect my letter is a fake... i shot her directly ba saying "u can call the number on the letter to verify... this is not the first time u guys received letter from MPYO, they hav been sending alot since last semester coz i was oso quite often outstation last sem..." so rude lar i think...

pissed off!!! totally!!!

8th July 2007 - WHAT A DAY??!

yesterday was a disaster... we reached LCCT airport only to know that our flight delayed... it was supposed to be 520pm... we had a performance that night oso... so at first our estimated time of arrival (ETA) at KK will be 740pm... so we arranged wif them the performance to start at 830pm... who knows it delayed until 620pm baru depart KL!!!

Nvm, the worst thing... the check-in counter is not open only until 2 hours before deprature time... so in other words 420 can only check in... bt we were oredy at the airport 330pm... waited like shit in the long queue... sat on our own luggages...

thats not that worst yet, while we were waiting in the boarding room... another announcement shocked us saying that our plane hasnt arrived until 630pm!!! SHIT!! so basically we departed 710pm...

then later inside the airplane, theres traffic jam again on the runway... i think about 10+ airplanes waiting for their turn to take off... well fyi, airasia and klia shares the same runway... so the pilot made another announcement saying we'll arrived KK only at 1030pm... GILA!!! bt luckily we got to take off first... and we arrived around 930pm...

rushed straight into my mum's car... uncle and aunt took care our of luggages and my dad will send them home... rushed to beach hotel... changed in the car... and KABOOM!!! we performed!! haha lol... WHAT A DAY??!

14 June 2007 - Heat Transfer Paper

Finalz is really killing me this few days... last nite stayed up whole nite until 4am juz to do the stupid formula sheet for heat transfer!! I should really post up my hard work...

And the worst thing is that i still could not find the formulae and equations i need during exam... 2 hours answer 4 questions.. not juz normal mathematical questions.. ITS HEAT TRANSFER QUESTIONS!!! stupid de lar... don even have enough time to finish my questions...

After my heat exam, came back manage to play another game of tower defense... im so proud to announce this... i scored the first place even for the HARD level!! hehe... my advice ---

do not play tower defense during finalz period; or else you'll end up like me playing endlessly and desperately to win; and in the mean time decreases the time allowed for you to
study and prepare for your exams.

Anyway, here is my scores!! =) Im still proud of it though...

KL Trip 2007 (9 April - 14 April)
=================================

9 April - Arrived KL around 1pm with Rodson, Wong Peng Hi and Yapp... checked in Corus Hotel in Ampang... very near KLCC... 5 minutes walking distance to KLCC...

lunch at Nando's... didnt had the courage to eat the spicy ones... so we ordered the "lemon and herbs" taste... and wat we got for our timidness is a little flag writing "not so brave" stuck on our chicken... so lame and embarrasing...

later went to Aquaria... had a great time... enjoyed the journey throughout... had a chance to touch starfish... living ones... haha lol... it feels like sponge...

after that, lots of crazy shopping... dinner at secret recipe... wong enjoyed his corden bleu alot... i tried its lamb shank for the first time... it was awesome!!

nite went to the eyes on malaysia... there wasnt much ppl... so it didnt took us long to queue for our turns... anyway it was kinda lame... althought the first few rounds were breathtaking... bt then considering we stucked mid air for about 15mins is abit lame... and bored oso... haha lol...

Day 1 - KLCC - Aquaria - Eyes on Malaysia

10 April - woke up early in the morning and went shopping again in KLCC... rodson them lor... as if they would rugi it they didnt walk every inch of the shopping mall... breakfast at dunkin donuts...

afternoon went to midvalley... took KTM... was quite convenient than i expected (coz last time i usually took taxi there)... shopping again like crazy until night time... spent whole day in Mid Valley...

dinner at piccolo mondos... superb!! especially the Cheese Fondue!!! haha... love it!!

Day 2 - KLCC - Mid Valley

11 April - woke up early again another morning... to do last minute shopping in KLCC... breakfast at A and W...

afternoon took the putra lrt to kl central... and took the bus to genting highlands...

reached genting around 3pm... went into the theme park to play for whole day... both outdoor and indoor...

even went to the snowworld... which was extremely cold (obviously)... played snow fight too... haha lol...

tried sneaking into the casino but was being chased out becoz under age... haha lol... wat an experience...

Day 3 - KLCC - Genting Highlands

12 April - Came down from Genting Highlands... checked in Melia Hotel in Bukit Bintang... later met up wif rodson's hometown frenz... and went for lunch at Mr. Ramen, Times Square...

later went to Sunway Lagoon...

dinner at La Mien Xiao Lung Pao... the Xiao Lung Pao was heavenly delicious!!! we even had all the juices squirted out all over the table... so disgusting!! haha.. lol..

nite time...went to sing K again at RedBox... midnite session... rm18++ until 4am!! gila..

SMCGC Camp

Went to SMCGC (Senadin Methodist Campus Gospel Centre) Life Camp last weekend at Lambir National Park. had a lot of fun.. was part of the organizing committee but never felt really involved... haha... coz only attended one meeting... and was only assigned the task of playing the keyboard during praise and worship... but did hav alot of fun... alot of surprises (although im still part of the organizing committee) haha... lol

arrived at Lambir around 6pm on Friday... it was raining heavily... ran like hell into our respective chalets... had dinner and then played some ice-breakers while waiting for the second round of "campers" arriving... they set off latter becoz some students still hav classes till the evening... when they arrived... we had power cut... stupid... this is like the third time experiencing power cut in one month... haiz... really bad luck of me... i remember the first two times was in my very own house... duh... stupid ler... and the even stupid thing is out of the whole two rows only 4 houses had no electricity... others had their garage light shining brightly like as if it was christmas night... haiz... kesian...

anyway back to topic... had alot of games that nite... electricity came back after half an hour...

second day, whole day played like 10 yr old children... haha... imagine playing outdoor games whole afternoon... we even played games that would end up breaking raw eggs on ur head as punishment if u lost!! haha lol... luckily my round, i won... and i got the honourable privellage to do that on my chalet-mate!! haha... he stinks after that by the way... haha lol juz joking...

third day we had our sunday service there in lambir itself... very informal... very comfortable... even communion service there... imagine... so special!! =) later after the service... we set off to the waterfall... this time the waterfall was only a short walk, about 20mins... its really short compared to the one we went to last time (1 hour ++) this waterfall is apparently the biggest they had in Lambir... but bcoz of maintanence purposes it was closed for two years... and that day we went in was actually the first day they open after TWO YEARS OF CLOSING!!! IMAGINE THAT!! haha... lol... creepy ler... its like the bridge was tested first by US?!?!

anyway overall i had alot of fun... got to knw alot of new frenz... new church members that i would have never got chance to talk to... except for the power cut, the bad food served... and of course the car broke down event on the way back... it was really an awesome trip!! i had fun every second there!! of course again despise the 3 unfortunate events i mentioned earlier... haha... lol...

While Malaysia fiddles, its opportunities are running dry

MALAYSIA'S been at it again, arguing about what proportion of the
economy each of its two main races - the Malays and the Chinese -
owns. It's an argument that's been running for 40 years. That wealth
and race are not synonymous is important for national cohesion, but
really it's time Malaysia grew up.

It's a tough world out there and there can be little sympathy for a
country that prefers to argue about how to divide wealth rather than
get on with the job of creating it.

The long-held aim is for 30 per cent of corporate equity to be in
Malay hands, but the figure that the Government uses to justify
handing over huge swathes of public companies to Malays but not to
other races is absurd. It bases its figure on equity valued, not at
market value, but at par value.

Many shares have a par value of say $1 but a market value of $12. And
so the Government figure ( 18.9 per cent is the most recent figure) is
a gross underestimate. Last month a paper by a researcher at a local
think-tank came up with a figure of 45 per cent based on actual stock
prices. All hell broke loose. The paper was withdrawn and the
researcher resigned in protest. Part of the problem is that he is
Chinese.

"Malaysia boleh!" is Malaysia's national catch cry. It translates to
"Malaysia can!" and Malaysia certainly can. Few countries are as good
at wasting money. It is richly endowed with natural resources and the
national obsession seems to be to extract these, sell them off and
then collectively spray the proceeds up against the wall.

This all happens in the context of Malaysia's grossly inflated sense
of its place in the world.

Most Malaysians are convinced that the eyes of the world are on their
country and that their leaders are world figures. This is thanks to
Malaysia's tame media and the bravado of former prime minister
Mahathir Mohamad. The truth is, few people on the streets of London or
New York could point to Malaysia on a map much less name its prime
minister or capital city.

As if to make this point, a recent episode of The Simpsons features a
newsreader trying to announce that a tidal wave had hit some place
called Kuala Lumpur. He couldn't pronounce the city's name and so made
up one, as if no-one cared anyway. But the joke was on the script
writers - Kuala Lumpur is inland.

Petronas, the national oil company is well run, particularly when
compared to the disaster that passes for a national oil company in
neighbouring Indonesia. But in some respects, this is Malaysia's
problem. The very success of Petronas means that it is used to
underwrite all manner of excess.

The KLCC development in central Kuala Lumpur is an example. It
includes the Twin Towers, the tallest buildings in the world when they
were built, which was their point.

It certainly wasn't that there was an office shortage in Kuala Lumpur
- there wasn't.

Malaysians are very proud of these towers. Goodness knows why. They
had little to do with them. The money for them came out of the ground
and the engineering was contracted out to South Korean companies.

They don't even run the shopping centre that's beneath them. That's
handled by Australia's Westfield.

Next year, a Malaysian astronaut will go into space aboard a Russian
rocket - the first Malay in space. And the cost? $RM95 million ($A34.3
million), to be footed by Malaysian taxpayers. The Science and
Technology Minister has said that a moon landing in 2020 is the next
target, aboard a US flight. There's no indication of what the
Americans will charge for this, assuming there's even a chance that
they will consider it. But what is Malaysia getting by using the space
programs of others as a taxi service? There are no obvious technical
benefits, but no doubt Malaysians will be told once again, that they
are "boleh". The trouble is, they're not. It's not their space
program.

Back in July, the Government announced that it would spend $RM490
million on a sports complex near the London Olympics site so that
Malaysian athletes can train there and "get used to cold weather".

But the summer Olympics are held in the summer.

So what is the complex's real purpose? The dozens of goodwill missions
by ministers and bureaucrats to London to check on the centre's
construction and then on the athletes while they train might provide a
clue.

Bank bale outs, a formula one racing track, an entire new capital city
- Petronas has paid for them all. It's been an orgy of nonsense that
Malaysia can ill afford.

Why? Because Malaysia's oil will run out in about 19 years. As it is,
Malaysia will become a net oil importer in 2011 - that's just five
years away.

So it's in this context that the latest debate about race and wealth is so
sad.

It is time to move on, time to prepare the economy for life after oil.
But, like Nero fiddling while Rome burned, the Malaysian Government is
more interested in stunts like sending a Malaysian into space when
Malaysia's inadequate schools could have done with the cash, and
arguing about wealth distribution using transparently ridiculous
statistics.

That's not Malaysia "boleh", that's Malaysia "bodoh" (stupid).

i got back home this afternoon and found a letter on the table brought in by my housemate from the mailbox i guess... at first i was pretty curious bcoz the stamp on the mail is from CORREOS, MALAGA... who the hell knws wheres that?!?!

anyone i opened the envelope and to my surpris... got this notification informing me i won the lottery of SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND TEN EUROS!! pretty stupid hor... first, i don even knw when did i submit any application to that weird place!! second, wouldnt there be a much more presentable notification slip or envelope considering they are giving away millions of euros worth of prizes?? (written in the letter)...

juz got back from a really tiring camp... however though its really nice... had a lot of funs... got chances to meet alot of frenz i think i would never have knew if there wasnt this camp... first of all the C major group consisting of...

Vice President: Jeremy Yong (should be me, considering im the president's husband.. muahaha..)
PR: Esme Wong Su Leei (obvious reasons.. haha..)

not to mention oso alot of frenz from the wind sections... alot of them are really friendly!! =)

well... juz let me briefly describe what we did in the one whole week... basically in summary its practice and rehearsal everyday... we'll wake up 7:30am in the morning for breakfast... rehearsal at 9am... then tea break at 10:30am... practice (probably sectionals) in 11pm... lunch at 1pm... then conducting classes at 2pm... tea break again at 3:30pm then rehearsal again at 4pm... dinner at 6pm... rehearsal again at 7pm then supper at 9pm... busy ler!! haha lol...

but not to mention the very very badly prepared food... thanks to it oso most of us slimmed down alot!! haha lol =)

we had a concert in the 2nd last day of our camp... playing repertoire consisting of mostly Russian composer's works...

last nite was quite a tough nite... got a really bad experience... after practice as usual we went to supper... then back home... around 12am... watch tv until around 1am... dad was back home oredy oso... then suddenly got a man in black knocked on my window... juz next to me lagik... i was shocked... i thot he was dad's fren... so i asked dad who was oredy sleeping due to alcohol effects on the living room's floor... dad woke up and was also shocked coz he told me he locked the gate!!! impossible got ppl can come in... so i quickly ran to the main door (didnt open it lar...) and saw another man in blue climbing over our fence... that was a horrible sight... im so stunned... dad then came over the door and asked... they told us they are the police... dad of course asked for identity... the man in black took out his police identity card... dad wasnt wearing his glasses that time so he wasnt able to read... he asked me to get his glasses for him... so when i got it to him, he asked for another look... the police said "why need to look so many times..." my dad even wanted to take over the card and ask us to verify... but the police said look but don touch... how can police these days be so unhelpful...

anyway, my dad decided to let them in... coz they wouldnt say anything besides... "buka pintu" like ordering us... dad said they might be higher level officials so wouldnt dare to offend them... when they came in... they didnt even tell us wat happened... what the event for? isnt there any protocols saying we, as normal people should have the right to know what happened before you can start questioning us?? when we asked they kept on coming up wif lame excuse saying ppl trying to call our house phone 3 to 4 times a day but no one answered so got ppl complain!! i don believe thats the reason of their checking... would police go so far for such a complaint?? thats a lie... then they also start questioning things like whats my dad's name... and all his nicknames... he asked my father first... my dad mabuk so only said "francis yong"... one of the police doubted then starting asking me instead... so me being honest started babbling all the names like "ah lou", "ah yong", "francis"... then next they started questioning my parent's bedroom location... then our backyard... then me!!! my school... my wat so ever...

only after all this, they told us abit it's related to our neighbour... and also until after all the questioning they told us they are narcotics... (dealing with drugs trafficking)... haiz... so i "assumed" someone lodged a report saying our neighbour has been involved in these things gua... he oso mentioned a really questioning facts about our neighbour... which is very true... our neighbour has registered to like 6 to 7 cars... all very high end ones... like land cruisers... but u can never see all of them in the house at nite... not even more than 2!! sometimes even only 1... so i think perhaps they suspect no one lives in there... but true oso lar... this neighbour of mine juz moved in not more than 1 year... and we hardly got any chances talking to them... so when questioned wat's our neighbour occupation... we said "har... tidak tau o" haiz... made us look as if we dont even concern about our neighbour wah... haiz...

anyway... after they left... they attempted to climb in the suspect's house... mum gepo peeped through the window... and one of the police signaled us to keep quiet and don bother... haiz... scary lar...

this whole experience is one of a kind... really disturbing u know... after they left mum and dad had an argument of we shouldnt let them in... coz no search warrants... no introduction... no IDs... it may be a robbery... so scary... all 4 men so big size lagik... i think its time we should all be aware of our rights... as what i always see in american films like CSI... u would need a warrant in order to search someone's house... even climbing over someone's fence without the owner's notice is considered trespassing and can be sued!!! but then i never knew whether these laws also imply in malaysia... should really start getting oneself equipped with these laws...

In the days when you couldn't count on a public toilet facility, an English woman was planning a trip to India. She was registered to stay in a small guest house owned by the local schoolmaster. She was concerned as to whether the guest house contained a WC. In England, a bathroom is commonly called a WC which stands for "Water Closet".
She wrote to the schoolmaster inquiring of the facilities about the WC.

The school master, not fluent in English, asked the local priest if he knew the meaning of WC.

Together they pondered possible meanings of the letters and concluded that the lady wanted to know if there was a "Wayside Chapel" near the house . . . a bathroom never entered their minds.

So the schoolmaster wrote the following reply:

Dear Madam,

I take great pleasure in informing you that the WC is located 9 miles from the house. It is located in the middle of a grove of pine trees, surrounded by lovely grounds. It is capable of holding 229 people and is open on Sundays and Thursdays. As there are many people expected in the summer months, I suggest you arrive early. There is, however, plenty of standing room. This is an unfortunate situation especially if you are in the habit of going regularly.

It may be of some interest to you that my daughter was married in the WC as it was there that she met her husband. It was a wonderful event.

There were 10 people in every seat. It was wonderful to see the ex-pressions on their faces. We can take photos in different angles. My wife, sadly, has been ill and unable to go recently. It has been almost a year since she went last, which pains her greatly!

You will be pleased to know that many people bring their lunch and make a day of it. Others prefer to wait till the last minute and arrive just in time. I would recommend your ladyship plan to go on a Thursday as there is an organ accompaniment. The acoustics are excellent and even the most delicate sounds can be heard everywhere.

The newest addition is a bell which rings every time a person enters. We are holding a bazaar to provide plush seats for all since many feel it is long needed.

I look forward to escorting you there myself and seating you in a place where you can be seen by all.

MPYO first weekend rehearsal

hii... didnt get to update my blog straight away once back from KL coz first i got sick even right before i left KLIA... so cham... i think probably is becoz of lack of rest and water... then i recovered on tuesday (thank GOd) bt suddenly were informed that there will be a mid semester test the next day, Wednesday!! haiz... so after everything is clear, then i can start blogging...

i remember the nite before the rehearsal, i was already in KL... stayed in Corus Hotel... very near to KLCC... juz a 5 minute walk away... i remember reaching KLIA that nite around 6pm... waited for my luggage for 30minutes... (damn long) then took the KLIA Express to KL Central... another 30minutes... took the LRT to KLCC to meet Chris (another 30minutes)... haiz... so basically reached KLCC around 7:30pm... then took the taxi wif Chris to SUngai Wang to meet Alice and LIsa... but traffic jam for one hour... so basically i took my dinner only at 8:30pm!! =( haiz... so cham...

we went to a place call "Gasoline" for dinner... sound so refreshing for the car rite? haha lol... anyway, that place was terrible... the place we sat in had actually pictures ghosts, props of disgusting things like chopped heads and hands hanging on top of us... wait till u see the picture...

anyway dinner was ok shj... but the drink really unforgetable... i'll kill myself if i had to drink another sip of that in the future... it's call "Beauty and the Beast"... sounds nice o... but then come out... chocolate and manggo frappucino... yucky!!!

That nite itself i remember i didnt sleep well... mostly becoz very stress about wats gona happen the next day...

The next day, Jason came down from PJ to meet me... so nice... he brought the black shoe that i needed for the nite concert of MPO... we went for the complimentary breakfast for two in my hotel then further went for jalan at KLCC until my rehearsal starts...

rehearsal... rehearsal... haiz... let's start wif registration first... when we first reached the registration place... it was packed wif PEOPLE... actually there should be only 111 participants rite? then who the rest? of course their parents lar... haiz... Chris even made fun saying MPYO is not Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra anymore... it's gonna Mama Papa Youth Orchestra... some parents even helped their child to carry their instruments... haiz... help them to queue lar... duh... so pampered... anyway met a few of our frenz... like Jeorgein, Aldrich, Beng Yu (my co-principal), James and Eben from Miri... and more...

Made a few new frenz too... first is this viola fren of Alice... her name is Peck Yin... very nice gal... i think it's the only person whom i can really like 38, gepo and be so close even from the first day we met... haiz... she's kinda talkative oso lar... i mean i m too... so maybe plus together the sum is = CLOSE lar... haha...

Then of course my partner... the one sitting next to me... her name is Hui Sin... she's studying music in UPM majoring in piano, and minor in double bass if im not mistaken... both of us played the dbass for only 2 years... but she's alot far more better than me... heheh... paiseh...

ok... let's go into starting of rehearsal... rehearsal was great!! fun!! i never expect it to be so enjoying... i kinda did worry too much... theres nothing to be stress anyway... juz have FUN!! =) the standard of the orchestra was quite high... i mean we were not even commented on our intonation... it's like everyone plays very well... trombone were superb... their harmonny, their chords... really strong, firm and IN TUNE!! haha... they got most of the compliments from our conductor, Mr. Kevin Field... flutes were great too... i heard they said 20+ came for auditioned... and these 4 were chosen... so im sure they are the best among the best!!! Cello was nice... but i still think they lack of orchestral instruments... i think cello has the most young players in them... all ranging from 13-20 yrs old i think... the principal is only 15... and he plays very well... except from some disgusting habits he has... oopz... ***censored***

Now share how i felt when i first stepped on the stage... erm... nervous of course... thats the first feeling i got... we were each person (double bass) given two chairs... first time in my life that i experienced this... ya... some ppl may wanna say me sampah lau... but then... there's a high stool and an ordinary chair... i took quite awhile to figure out that i was suppose to sit on the high stool and to rest my double bass when not needed on the lower one... duh... HOW TO SIT AND PLAY? i was always used to stand and play... so i started peeping at my partner... and those infront of me... curi curi tengok and learn how to sit... haha... paiseh... it did took me quite awhile to adapt to this new playing... but apparently... it's alot more convenient... i should have practise that in the future...

2nd feeling i got from the stage is WOW... i never imagine i can even be on this stage... yup its true this is one of my wildest dream... or i should say (if anyone watched Last Holiday by QUeen Latiffah), being on this MPO stage is one of the dream i would put in my "Book of Possibilities"... but now part of my Book of Possibilities had turned in Book of Realities... juz like Queen Latiffah's... im so proud of myself... im so touched... im so happy, excited, "high" wateva positive feelings... i felt all of that everytime i lifted my head on see the magnificent structures of the MPO hall... and then realizing myself being on the stage... made me feel proud!! =)

ya... i knw this will all only last for 2 seasons... however if this is my only chance i'll be here... it's enough!! =) God has been very nice to me... He really loves me... He has already given alot of things that i wanted... Thank you Lord...

Hello friends,

I know most of you MAY already have heard about this, but here goes:
Aaron is in the ICU in a hospital in Melbourne now. Unconscious and heavily sedated. Our friend Aaron Lee, who used to do crazy things at the back of class and still get top in exams.

He fell off a squash court wall last Tuesday (30 August), and 1 week later, is still heavily sedated in hospital.Once his brain condition has stabilized, he SHOULD wake up, but he may have had brain injuries - he MAY - lets hope he DOESN'T - and he MAY never be the same again.
At this point, we're just hoping for a miracle, for him to wake up and be perfectly normal again.At this point, we want to search for a place to put our faith in, a greater Power that can defy the logic of medical science and injuries and can return him to us.

No matter what, we were his classmates, we shared memories, we promised to meet each other every year and always keep in touch....We may have not made good on our promise, but today, one of us needs us, and he can't call out to us. BUT WE CAN CALL OUT TO GOD FOR HIM.We've all been away, working on our respective career paths, charting the course of our future...But today, guys, let's all step back a little, and unite as a CLASS, a BATCH, the form five batch of 2003 once again, even in spirit....

And pray for Aaron, pray fervently for him, that he will suddenly wake up and look around and say, in the typical Aaron-drawl, "hey where the hell am i?", and his parents will scream and run and hug him, and they'll get back the Aaron they know. the aaron they love. the aaron WE love.

At this point, medical science is just waiting for him to wake up.Its OUR turn now. OUR turn to harness the power of PRAYER to wake him up.

And we never ought to spend much time to know each other more. However, he is owez a nice fren. Friendly person. He's definitely not the slefish type that wont share you his homeworks.

girl's intuitions are always well known to be very accurate. i've just watched a drama where in one of the dialogues, a senior chief reporter of a magazine publishing company advised her subordinate telling her that "you should always believe in your intuition."

funny that sometimes i'll get somekind of feeling that somethings gonna happen, and it really happened the next hour or even the next minute. im not sure whether everyone of you ever had this feeling. It's like sometimes when i go out of the house, i have a feeling that i forgotten something. Then i would start to check my handphone, wallet, watch... bla bla bla... but then after i reached skool it'll be like "damn shit... i forgotten my XXX" (whatever lar). this happens very often. Sometimes i even got this kinda of feeling before i board a plane, and later then found out that i really forgotten something. So to avoid having myself forgetting my things before flying, i have a habit now to always drop down all the things in a reminder note a few days before, and make sure i check my things the day before i fly. =)

well, today i had the same feeling again. but this time not feeling of forgetting things. It's much more complicated. I had a feeling i'll have a car accident when i was driving at nite juz now. And guess what!!! It really happened!! haiz... i was driving at Gaya Street, turning around a round-a-bout. I was suppose to pick up my mum after she finished her business on the atm in Alliance Bank. I took 2 rounds already and i havnt seen her inside the bank. So i tried looking around the outside area to find my mum, and didnt n0ticed that there was a rock structure thingy next to the fountain in the middle of the round-a-bout. Then, BANG!!! haiz... the next thing, i saw my mum running over to me from the other side of the road. She went to RHB pulak... haiz... luckily the bang wasnt that bad after all... despite the driver seat door cant be opened, there wasnt any major damage. Im sure a little work in the mechanic can settle it.

anyway, next time when i have this sort of intuitions again, i should really reconsider the worst outcomes that would happened after. Well, so who said that "men's intuitions are never accurate??" again...

haiz... had been very very unlucky these few days... firstly... i booked the wrong air ticket... i got the time and date correct but i booked the wrong destination... and u know lar... airasia wont let u change ticket unless u pay an additional charge of rm50... haiz... memang tipu duit de...

Then when i reached home the same day oso... found out my bicycle was stolen... actually together with my fren's... 2 bikes GONE!! Disappeared!! haiz... we didnt even take note of it... only until the moment when we needed it, we realized it's gone!! My another housemate told us that he didnt see the bike since morning liao... so assumed it's stolen the nite before... haiz... so "hok-sin" lar...

Later that nite, we walked to the burger stall near CV... "walked" o... so kesian... last time used to "cycled"... haiz... then i saw my brother, Jojo there... he later told us that his frenz... both staying a few units next to us... oso lost their bikes the nite ours were stolen oso... haiyo...!! so bad o those ppl... haiz...

so final assumption made --->>> mode of transporation of thieves --->>> LORRY!!

haha lol... jklar...

haiz... nvmlar... hopefully this time when i go bak to kk can convince my parents to buy CAR for me... heehe...

"talking students..." suddenly it made me recall of when we (our talkative gang) were being called by Ms. Nwe Nwe Lin last time in Physics 062...

Today, we were in ChE 213 Process Engineering Materials with Mr. Alexander, our Russian lecturer. Well, our gang was not the usual Orange Monzter gang anymore... instead it only consists of 3 members - LingKhing, Hari and Me!!

Well, obviously Mr. Alexander's accent was very unclear to us... we hardly hear in what he's teaching... we cant even understand what topic he is talking... so we ended up talking... and since majority of the students in class were also busy talking (i assumed they also didnt understand what was being taught) we got quite excited and started increasing our volume... Then suddenly LingKhing faced down and whispered something to me... i didnt really hear it clearly... but i realized the whole class was in silence... i was not clear what was goin on until when i lifted up my head and realized Mr. Alexander is staring at me... asking "how many minutes do you want? 5? 10? 15 minutes?"... i shook my head straight away... and luckily he turned away... haiz... phew... so scary lar...

after that for a few moment, LingKhing and I didnt dare to speak a word... all we did is passing messages and notes on paper... so stupid ler... it's like we cant even live without talking or "communicating"... actually communication quite important to humans rite... there was another time... i think it was yesterday when me, Hari and Khing discussed on a problem (academic) in ChE 212 Process Analysis class... and that we were also being scolded... haiz...

but regardless of being scolded so many many times... i think we were immuned to it... 15 minutes after Mr. Alexander scolded us in class... we continue talking again... so daring rite? haha lol...

Well, what to do...?! we are (despite anybody like it or not) "talking students" in our very own nature!! =)

hooray!!! i got GOOD NEWS!!! i passed the MPYO audition!! i was so happy and excited just now!! cant imagine it... i remember that time (5:45pm) i was riding bicycle with rodson coming back from dinner... then i suddenly received my aunt's miss call... i called back and only to find out that i actually passed the audition!! I'm now an official member of the MPYO first batch for 2 seasons lagik tu... haha lol...

btw, for those who doesnt know what MPYO stands for... it is Malaysian Philharmonice Youth Orchestra... we had our audition a few months back... i auditioned for double bass and never expected i would actually get it... coz i had no examination experiences in double bass... only learned it like 3 years+

My aunt juz now was so crazy... she said she nearly accident coz she got the news from my mum while she was driving!! haha lol... very extreme ler... thats my family!! haha lol...

STUPID CURTIN BUS!!!

i went to wait for the 9:45am bus (as mentioned in the schedule that there will bus every 15 minutes interval) but the bus didnt turn up!!! so i ended up skipping class lro... coz there was no 10am bus!! haiz... so geram o... the 9:30am bus punya uncle did come out to send those from campus back to CV but he didnt offer to let us board the bus. He said "wait for the next bus!!" BUT THE NEXT BUS NEVER ARRIVED!! i waited until 10:10am... then i messaged lingkhing and said i will skip class lor...

yeahh...
last nite celebrated Wong's bday wif him in LEez... Kiki bought a cake from Southern Bakery!! Cappuccino cake!! nothing special anyway... except for those stupid lame jokes we owez laugh like hell to... actually this was a belated celebration for Wong... i hope he doesnt mind o! =)

now im stucked at home dono do wat... suppose to submit my results transcript to Shell via mail... but i havnt even get my photocopied result slip certified true. make sure i'll get in earlier later... shud take the 12pm bus... JUST IN CASE AGAIN!! i hav class later at 2-3:30pm... economics... the one unit most most alien to me!! don even know what she's teaching!!

haiyo... listening to these words... made me very tired lar... haiz... i knew since the beginning that this bak to kk trip of mine wouldnt be relaxing or enjoying... it was very tiring and exhausting!! haiz... practice like hell... i played the double bass lagik... the only one (beside my uncle who's playing the double bass wif me) is standing during the whole practice!! haiyo...

and i so hate "pizzicato" on the bass... (to those who doesnt understand musical terms, pizzicato is a direction for the performer to pluck the strings using the index finger instead of using the bow) i hate the so many pizz in my music... so thick lagik the strings of the double bass... haiz...

later goin for my rehearsal again at nite... last nite very cham o... no people eat supper wif me!! =( i went to McD drive thru lor... dabao McChicken Meal and McNuggets!! =)

start skoolz liao lor... haha... start lesson oso liao... haiz... i thot first week will only brief on unit outline nia... haiz... so tiring... yesterday (monday) had ChE 212 Process Analysis... juz realized it's like mathematics probability and statistics!! shouldnt be any problem bah... but the lecturer's teaching very slow!! =( aduh... he even said first four weeks he'll teach faster coz we've learned before in our foundations... but still very slow to us... cant imagine wat kind of speed he'll teach when he goes on from week5!! aduh~

today's class ler... we had ChE 213 Process Engineering Materials at 10am... lagik cham... our lecturer is a Russian i heard so... i cant even understand what he's talking about!! haiz... whole class i kept on chit-chat wif lingkhing shj tu...

now in ME lab... doin nothing... nothing to do bah... gonna hav class in 30 mins time... Engineering Economics... haiz... i heard from some seniors they said this unit kinda tough for engineering students coz we hav no basic at all...

AirAsia SUCKS!!!

I HATE AIRASIA!!! Spoiled my whole beautiful morning...

This morning, 29 July 2006, was suppose to be a very beautiful morning to me... my perfect plan bak to miri to clean up my room, get myself prepared for my new semester (2nd year!!)... It was suppose to be just perfect as i got my flight ready (of course!!), got my uncle taxi to wait for me at the Miri Airport as soon as i arrived and everything else... not to mention my delicious frozen food im bringing bak to miri to enjoy!!

Then of all things happened, stupid AIRASIA ruined my beautiful morning... it now became a tiring morning to me... For your information, this is only the second time i took airasia. It's not that i chose to but it's that i have no other alternatives. MAS is not flying from KK to Miri anymore. ALl the flights are taken over by AirAsia (of course sure got corruption involved in between to make this possible).

My first experience wif AirAsia wasnt that good anyway. I remembered it was the time i took it's rm600 flight to Bangkok. And you know we got delayed on our way to Bangkok and when returning, we even got our flight pushed early. I remember our return trip from Bangkok to KK was suppose to be a direct flight. But i dono for wat purpose they changed it to Bangkok - KL - KK. haiz... so we ended up taking an early morning 5am flight to KL and stayed at KLIA for half a day... reached KK only around 7pm!!! stupid ler...

My second experience is even worst!!! We (Jojo and I) got to the airport (T2) 1hour15minutes before departure time. So nice of us o. And guess what, the staff working in the check in counter was so LIN C (Ngiao Ji)!! The service was already very bad... very low working effeciency!! I dono for wat purpose he needs to weight our baggage piece by piece. I mean MAS can do it all at once!! Save time, and the people queing behind me wouldnt make a fuss about me!! Anyway, this is not the main point!! I had a box with me, loaded wif frozen food (prawns and my fav. meat balls). He questioned the content of my box and i told him "honestly" it was frozen food. Then without even checking reasonably, he claimed that my box is wet and that the paper of the box is too thin. He said he wont let my baggage in. FINE!! but he shud at least come out wif suggestions or alternatives to help me solve (thats wat i think MAS will help us do). I don mind paying!! but from all my experience wif MAS, my frozen food loaded box never tore, never even got WET!! My maid does a great job in packing!!

Anyway after a few quarrels, i let in. I decided i wont put my baggage in. I even asked whether i can take it by hand. He also said NO!! FINE... so i called my dad... and he brought an extra box for me. We put the previous box into the box my dad brought. So, it's double secured oredy rite? and yet he threatened us saying that he will hold no responsible if our baggage would ever reached Miri!! So cruel o!!

I didnt care much in the end. I let it in. But my dad was worried. Coz the prawns inside are expensive. The whole box might cost about rm300+ i guess. So, i called my uncle who is working as a custom officer in T2. He drove from home straight away to T2 to help us wif the baggage. He asked one of the lady in the counter to juz let us know whether our box was accepted or rejected? My uncle didnt request anythin more. He just wanna know whether passed onot? If not, he can at least help us bring home bah... don waste mah... even so the girl cant answer!! so stupid... until my uncle needs to talk wif the more senior ppl wah... haiz...

anyway our frozen food box got thru in the end... thanks to my uncle!! =)

Next, our flight delayed!! Our flight was suppose to be 6:50am!! then if first delayed to 7:50am... after that delayed again to 9am!!! duh... and the reason they gave us... TECHNICAL PROBLEM... but i don see any technician working on the plane outside? obviously it's an excuse!! everyone knows they are trying to fill up the plane!! he could hav told us the truth rite? stupid liar!!! ARGH!! and guess wat? in the end, the plane wasnt even 40% full!! stupid ler... wasted my time!! wasted my whole morning!! from 5:45am until 9:15am in T2!! So damn cold lagik... i forgot to bring a jacket!! ARGH~~ reached Miri about 10:35am. And also we need to walk from far far away from the terminal... haiz... stupid airasia!!!

Really ah... if got MAS, i would greatly prefer to take MAS!! price doesnt differ much oso bah!! rm20+ shj bah... aduh!!! GERAM!!!

ANyway, reached my home now!! Juz finished packing all my stuffs... kinda tired now... i think i should go take some rest!! =)

lately there was a taiwanese chinese orchestra group came performing in kiankok school hall o... they are all very young de... my brother was like addicted wif the gals... haha... stupid ler... here's some pics we taken wif them in the airport!! =)

well... although not much pic taken... coz that day in airport got emergency... so... haiz... didnt get any chance to take much pics wif them lor... haiz...

lately nothing much to do at home... idle shj... everyday online oso dono wat to do... watch movies oso lor... juz finish a set of korean drama - the sweet spy... 《甜蜜间谍》

The story line is not that interesting lar... not that funny o... although it was meant to be a comedy... but still i do enjoyed juz watchin the characters in it... the actors and actress very attractive!! =)

Phew... now everyone's gone... kinda miss them all... haha... after my HK trip, my church members from Senadin Methodist Campus Gospet Church came to kk for holz... i was their official tour guide... during that period, i owez complained very tired wah... and still remembering the creepy road i need to take every nite alone... haha... haiz... the road to the church very creepy de... dark and gloomy... no street lamps... grass around like never cut for a century... haiz... haha... however, now pulak i miss that road... haha... miss them all oso... i remember bringing them to pulau manukan... and alot of them didnt even know that sea water is salty!! haha...

after these bunch of frenz, came my other batch of frenz... actually not my direct frenz... but i know them well too... Rodson, Edwin, Kiki and Melanie... at first didnt Mel so well... but after their kk trip... gotta know her more!! Edwin and i are ok now, i think so... we got together quite smoothly... =) rodson like always... like sampah lau... haha... i guess he enjoyed the food here most!! Kiki pulak i dono for wat reason she shopped Palm Square whole day... haiz... theres nothing even to see there... haha lol... jklar...

busy buzy buzzy week!!

hii frenz, really long time didnt update my blog liao... haha... since today kinda free having nothing to do in the lab... post something short lar... haha...

well lately really busy wif church stuffs... alot of my frenz said im addicted now to church activities... hahha... but to be honest im having fun doing all the things... haha... there will be a musical performance night this coming friday in our centre here in senadin... and this time im the event chairperson... the person in charge of the whole event... so have been quite busy... and since there isnt any other pianist in our church other than me and Kiu... i hav to play for almost all the performance considering that Kiu has an exam on tat day... haiz... really tiring... same thing in this week i will be having 3 mid term tests... 2 has passed... and thankful God has guided me throughout my exams... although i didnt really put much effort in studying... or doing revisions... i still manage to finish all the questions... hopefully all correct lar!! haha lol... but yet still theres one more to go... this coming saturday... and i hope this time i will do better... coz its objective... haiz... and its 35% of our final marks...

next coming friday is also a very important date... our graduation day... although not much of my frenz are attending... including Rodson!! =( but still im goin bcoz all tat PAULINE lor... haiz... complained no ppl teman her... haiz... then that LingKhing again... flew away my airplane... haiz... at first said wanna go together... then at last didnt even submit the form... haiz... haha jklar... well but still others will still go for the ceremony as guests lar... they wont be goin on stage to collect the award lor... haha... dono why oso i so stupid... haiz... well pauline u should be grateful for wat i have done o... its all for u de!! haha lol =)

hii frenz, i will be goin bak to miri soon!! =) im leaving kk on 26th Feb 2006! and another great news is that im moving out from the hostel... got a house in senadin... juz behind curtin village... house number is 5737!! 4 bedrooms... quite nice condition!! =)

i hope everyone had a great holiday!! =) i enjoyed mine alot!! having alot of fun wif my kk frenz performing and lepak-ing... hehee... dad doesnt query me anymore for my nite activities... maybe bcoz he realized im now grown up liao... haha akkaka...~

hii frenz... first of all happy new year to everyone!! let's hope this coming year of 2006 will be a great year... i wish everyone good luck in exams, in their careers... in their relationships... =) hav a pleasant new year!!

well juz a few update on what im recently doing in kk for my holz... well i hav to admit this holz is really really long... haha lol... well first of all of course teaching piano in my aunt's shop lor... hoping to get some allowance bak to miri later... hehe...

then the greatest thing is that we got ourselves a business of playing chinese orchestra music in a new hotel - Le Meridien Hotel... =) well but it's gonna b really tiring... as we are under a contract of playing for 18 nites... haiz... from 22Jan to 10Feb... haha... cham ler... but we were being paid... not much though lar... but at least hopefully we can get some allowance for chinese new year lor... hehe...

Wong, Edwin and Aldrich... i was in miri during my bday coz my whole family went over there to visit my campus... and oso in the mean time bringing jojo bak to kk via car ride... i tell u guyz o... kk to miri car ride is awfully suffering... haha lol... cham... anyway bak to topic... they tiba tiba came to my hotel (Park City Everly Hotel) which i dono why? and how? well then... they came around 10pm... and we dono wat to do... we lepak around hotel... went to bak to my room a few times... watch tv... juz to pass time until it's 12am... then before there... around 11:45pm... they asked me to go jalan jalan near the poolside... and i wasnt aware at all of wat they are planning to do... then once passed 12am they start to hold my hands and legs... wanting to dump me into the swimming pool... i struggled quite alot... they even said im quite tough to handle... haha lol... after a few moments of struggle and chasing... i finally gave in... edwin held my arms... wong held my feet... while aldrich grab all my things like wallet and hp... then they threw me into the swimming pool like how u would throw a garbage bag into the garbage bin o... so cruel...
that wasnt all of it... after tat, i climbed up on shore... and we took photographs... besides swimming pool... then there was a shot where wong wants me to take wif him near the ladder in the swimming pool... he said he wants me to stand partially in the water... i thot it was ok since i was oredy all wet... i don mind i juz put my feets in the water... then after that shot, wong pushed me easily into the water again... then while i try to swim bak on shore... wong starting to throw my slippers into the pool again... wanting me to go swim and get it bak... haiz... really cruel lar this people... i tell u... nobody will believe they are called the "WEAK" group... haha lol...

anyway that all happened in midnite... after that in the afternoon went to shopping lor... brought jojo out from campus to join us for breakfast... then we went to boulevard restaurant to make reservations for my dinner party lor... only the WEAK group manage to came... my huayue frenz (kk) although they were all in miri werent able to join bcoz they hav another function... too bad... dinner was great... accept we ordered for 20+ ppl... but only 10+ came... haiz... too much leftover... anyway really a great bday experience!! =)

Christmas ar? not much to write this time lar... this year christmas theres nothing special... u know lar... kk punya christmas spirit very dull de... haiz... very upsetting...

today stucked myself at home... coz this is the only day i can rest to the fullest lor... haha last week has been avery busy week... joined a kkso workshop for 3 days... practised almost whole day... morning 8-12pm, afternoon 2-5pm and nite 7.30-9.30pm... crazy ler... tomolo is the performance day... will hav full rehearsal... so basically i need REST today!! haha lol... wish me luck tomolo lar... im playing the cello... one instrument which i hvnt touched for years... haha lol...

tomolo Derek will b comin bak... very hapy o... at least i hav a kawan now to teman me go jalan jalan... haiz... this few days really tiring and stress... should find some time to go relax... SWIMMING... thats the best haha... and of course sauna right after... oopz... relaxing ler...

hii frenz... long time didnt update liao... haha lol... well i was kinda surprise to find out theres frenz who do regular checking on my blog... hehe... thx to Cheng... =) i guess i hav to really update it regularly...

well juz came bak to kk lor... reached kk last saturday... i didnt even know the flight i took has to transit in labuan... so stupid o... until i board the plane baru i realized that the plane is gonna transit inlabuan... duh... then i saw Derek in labuan... haha didnt even realize he's in the same plane as me... then... another very special event is that on the plane, theres a china gal sitting next to me... then she's like totally blur in everything... quite admire her bravery o... she travel alone... don even know where's the plane heading... haiz... DUH~~

oyah... i hav another good news to announce here... i might b able to go to Taiwan o... haha... this coming february... haha lol... at first my aunt told me that the trip will only be in the beginning of march... then sudd she told me theres change of plan... that the trip will be in mid feb... and that i can join coz i will juz hav to miss afew classes... haha lol... i don mind too lar... coz usually the first week is introduction and unit briefing... thats all...

This trip is actually a performance... the Rotaract club in Taiwan once heard my aunt's ensemble played and was very impressed... then they decided to invite us there lor... everything provided o... air ticket, accomodation... everythin... haha should b fun o!! =)

hopefully i can really go lar... so frenz do pray hard for me oo... haha lol... thx... =)

now bak in miri... haha... busy days... finals starting this coming monday and yet i havnt even started my revisions... =(

LK them don believe i didnt start yet... they all thot i bluffing wah... u think i like to lie meh... sometimes listening to them keep on asking me questions... i get nervous o... today did something great... teach some ppl JAVA... i think Java for me no problem lar... at least i think for this unit, i don hav to revise much... coz juz basic things like C++ and i think wat will be assessed in the exam later will only be the designing part... no need for coding anyway...

Maths and Mechanics... i havnt even started revision... haiz... really nervous lar... worried... why m i so lazy ler? i even told LK that i wish to only aim pass this time... but actually when i come to think of it deeply... "thats not wat i want??" haiz... funny lar... hope for high marks... and yet still so lazy... really cham...

hmm... wat to write ler... okla... theres quite a lot of surprises in the previous weekend!! first... its the friday nite... church performance... Rodson, Pauline them all at first told me they were not coming... i had oredy given up on them... gave up the hope that they would even come... but then one moment i saw Jessica coming in the door... although she came... it didnt even pass thru my mind that she would had come together wif pauline and oso Rod!! at first, i thought she came wif the VCF gangs... well so i wasnt aware that Pauline and Rodson were actually oso...

only until around 8:00am... when it's almost my turn to perform... when we got ourselves ready for the performance... i noticed that Rodson was actually there!! i was so surprise!! so happy!! i cant imagine how i felt that moment!! haha lol... that nite was really fun!!

despite the fact that Rodson, Pauline, Jess, Yuki... many frenz are there to support me... the nite was oso awesome... coz we all sang alot of songs... sang like crazy!!

THen next week... saturday morning... rodson went out wif me whole day to town juz to shop for clothes o... haha i've juz realized that rodson can be a very patience person!! haha we 2 actually walk through 3 shopping complexes juz to shop for my things... really need to thank him o!!

however, last nite wasnt such a pleasant nite... well... NO WATER in hostel... i had to drive motor out to Ed's house juz to take bath!! haha lol... haiz... so ma fan... i think there's still no water yet... hopefully by tonite... there'll be water!!

funny hor~ i've been telling the whole world that i have alot of things to do... lots of assignments... hectic schedule... busy... and yet i still hav no clue how to start getting things moving?!! this ended me up doin nothing all nite... watching anime lar... or desperate housewives... haiz...

i hav an oral presentation next friday on the topic of Intercultural Communication!! ya~~ i know... lame topic... duh!! T_T" havnt got the chance to even discuss wif my group memberz... it's also due to our irresponsibility... we had two discussion sessions in class last 2 weeks... but bcoz all of the members... including me... didnt do any homework at home... we couldnt discuss anything... then we planned having our discussion on wednesday... and stupid lar... suddenly got site visit to LAKU water treatment plant!! haiz... that again is another hell... will go into details later... well we r "hopefully" goin to hav our discussion... first discussion tomolo... haiz... really ar... dono whether this will even work out... very stress...

then... another project... our IEPS Study Skills Project - Sustainability of Rainwater Harvesting... stupid lar... that one oso due next week... and we havnt even start discussing... i think the main reason is bcoz everyone's busy wif the oral presentation preparation la... haiz... but by the time they finish... and they wanna start... it's my turn lar... dono how lar... very stress now...

then we have another project... but this one due in week13... its an electrical engineering project... and we chose the topic on wind turbine in Malaysia... i think this one should be easier... as we dont hav to do anything practical... all we need is to search for information via resources available in the net and library... haiz... but still lotz of work to do...

ok... let's now talk bout that SHIT site visit yesterday... well hav to get up 8am in the morning... and meet up at the drop off point... and as usually... Malaysian's tradition... hey frenz, juz came back from KK... well i hav to admit this is my best holz (week free) compared to all my previous... coz this whole week i actually made full use of my time to enjoy!! haha... well... spent most of my time (i should say about 80% of my time) wif Derek... haha lol...

well tat lazy pig ar... hav to go fetch him de ar... i hav to wake up every morning to go to his house which is like in the other end of the world juz to bring him out... then everyday go karamunsing check on his pc... lousy ba... told u hav to change lor... don buy cheap de bah... haha jklar lol...

well... got a chance to get really close wif him... told him quite a lot of my family problems... "keep it personal ok, Derek"... well honestly i never expect us to be so close... haha lol...

even went swimming together wif TzeFung oso... swam under the sun of 1pm wah... haha tanned terus bah... lol...

Another interesting thing in this holz is i got to perform in KianKok Alumni Nite... and we performed something like 12 girls band!! i played the yangqin!! i hav to admit oso this is the best performance i ever experienced compared to all my previous... haha lol...

wat happend to me o... why so "hok sin" this few days? this morning i left my Mechanics referenece book which borrowed from the library today in G3105!! and i only realized that after i finished my lab session at 2pm. Then when i went back to check out whether it's still there, IT WAS LOST!!

I went to the library straight away to report my lost!! and they told me to wait for one week to see whether the person who took it would be kindly enuf to drop it in the library for me... well... i think i hav to realli pray hard now!!! if not hav to pay!!!

Second thing, this evening i received a message(sms) from my aunt telling me a good news and a bad news... good news - the coat i went to make that day, was really nice... of course lar... cost me rm800... then... bad news - performance cancelled!!! DUH~~ T_T"

Third thing, i juz received news from my aunt also about my another auntie in KL had breast cancer, and the cancer cells have spreaded into her chest bone and back bone... they said if it reaches this stage, basically it is incurable... the important part is im worried about my mum... coz my mum is very close wif her brother, and im sure to my mum, watchin his brother's family falling apart is a total stress... im afraid my mum can handle it lar... i dono wat i should/can do!??!

Please any of u, who hav juz read my post... plz pray hard... pray hard for miracle to happen!!! pray that at least my auntie will get to survive till the end of this year... or pray for full recovery if possible!!! i hope everyone can celebrate my popo's bday together... happily!! =~(

haiz... today soi lar... woke up late for class... my class starts at 9am and my alarm rang at 8am... i shut it off, and slept back... then Ong called me at 8:58am baru i woke up and realized i was damn late!! Got test again somemore today... haiz... luckily our lecturer not that strict, still allowed me to sit for the test... haiz... cham o...
must make sure i don repeat that again...

well after tat day had mechanics quiz... it's quite easy but not enuf time to do... we have to sketch 3 free body diagrams on graph paper (with scale) in 10 mins... haiz... think we are all rockets meh?! haiz... donolar... hope it will go well!! =)

It's now 3:12pm in the afternoon, kinda bored... juz finished my mechanics tutorial... realli messy lar the working... so much to calculate... all of a sudden hate trigonometry!!! argh~~~

hii frenz, had our first E Computing 100 quiz yesterday... well luckily i went thru the revision in the afternoon so at least i know how to answer most of them...

Today had mathematics 100 lecture and mechanics... well all went on smoothly... then we had our maths tutorial... duh duh yadah yadah.. blabla~~

ok... good news for today... i called the IT department this afternoon to ask them to fix my internet connection in hostel... and guess wat, they straight away solved it for me... in 2 hours... im now using my 2nd network node (006) instead of my previous (005) which i suspect is rosak!! haha.. now i can use my own port to online liao... haha...

haiya compared to the IT helpdesk in GP1 ar... their working efficiency realli low... i went there last week wif this same problem... and there isnt any action taken for one whole week... haiz... so curtin frenz out there... if next time u have any problem?!! call 085-443993!!! This is GREAT!! haha LOL...

juz now at nite... went to look for rodson... he seems very stress lar... it was exactly like how he was when he first came to curtin in foundation first sem... i really pity him... i really hope i can help him... well rodson if u are looking at this... hii frenz, didnt get to update my blog last nite coz the server in hostel is down... no internet connection!! T_T" duh~

well... hopefully i can still write a little bit bout wat happend in the weekend!! well... saturday was a little dull and boring... woke up quite late in the morning coz chat wif pauline on msn until 3am in the morning!! haha... well im really impressed!! she is a good listener!! well... thanks a lot pauline for lending ur "ear"?! haah LOL

Saturday woke up around 12pm... suprisingly Rodson who slept at 12am the day b4 also woke up around 12pm... haha dono what happened to both of uz... like pigs... haha... then went for breakfast?!lunch..?!! wateva u call that... in cafeteria... after tat went back to our respective rooms... he went to do his homework... and i of course, a person who hates doing skool stuffs in saturday, did nothing!!! =( haha ... kaka ... watched a couple episodes of charmed season 6! awesome!! wohoo~~

Then Rodson's fren came to visit him... duh... i was so bored... but nvm... i cant owez hav him to my own everytime!! =) then in the evening, we went jogging... gosh~~ suprisingly ler... we even asked LingKhing in to join us... haha... she was of course the last.. but me oso paiseh lar... run only one round around the campus oredy totally exhausted... i think it is probably bcoz i havnt been doing sports for a very very very long time... haiz... should continue to keep this up... !! healthy at least... kekeke...

its now 12:12am... haiz... juz got back from LK's hse... Rodson went for Accouting Group Study in Mr. Chan's hse... dono wat time he'll b back!!

Last nite was dreadful... i was very upset, disappointd, sad!! many feelings... made me almost miss my class this morning... haha... i hope everything will start to go fine now... i think i should juz leave everything to the hands of God!! and Im sure God will set clearly the path i should take!! =)

Eng COmmunication 100 today was tough... well i guess the ball is rolling now... assignments coming along... busy busy hectic hectic... haha LOL... we hav to do some sort of blog posting discussion... but too bad we werent allow to use blogspot... we are suppose to use spaces.msn.com... very boring!! let me juz briefly sum up wat happened this few weeks b4...

erm... firstly... i have successfully went up to first year!! haha... now currently taking bachelor in chemical engineering year 1 semeter 1!! WOHOO~~ juz love it!! very excited!! but too bad... there werent many of my frenz coming up wif uz... only Ong and LK...

well... anyway good luck to my other frenz... Hope to see them together again next sem in engineering!!! =)

Then... i juz got my results last week... haha... quite satisfied wif it... except my Physic 062... i thot i could got a 9... but i juz got an 8!! =( nvm then... should learn to be gracious and satisfied with wateva i have!! =)

Well... last week has also been a very happy week for me... i hav finally found the answer to the ULTIMATE question in my head all this while!! =) haha... im very happy!!! couldnt imagine the excitement in myself!!

finally Malaysian Studies is over!! haha LOL... today was the worst day i ever had in Curtin... never study this dreadfully before... so many things to memorise!! i hate memorizing things... hav to memorise the dates... the places... the names... stressful... luckily, now everything is over!! =) so free!!!

Tomolo though is gonna be another tough day!! Mathematics in the morning and Chemistry in the afternoon... haha... well i guess im prepared!! at least... i've gone thru all my notes... juz hav to hope i'll remember them tomolo!!=) wish me luck my frenz... =)

hii frenz... busy these few weeks... these few days... im having my finalz now!! =) haha...

Today juz finished my english exam!! Gosh~~ it was really challenging... time factor i guess... haha... but luckily i finished everything... but to be honest, im not quite satisfied wif my own work!! =(

Firstly, i wrote all the page numbers of my references wrongly!! =( but luckily Ms Jean Sii said its ok... =) then... my pro arguments were really weakly elaborated!! =( haiz... really disappointed... the only thing im satisfied is my conclusion... haha coz Ms Jean told me i hav more than enuf time and asked me to write slower properly!! haha LOL

Nvmlar, everything is over!! haha... gonna get ready for the upcoming onesS!! my frenz who are sitting for their exams too... =) GAmBate!! good luck!! =)

hii frenz... today we went to the chemistry lab to conduct our lab trial for our chemistry project. We are doin colligative properties of solution... and since there arent any experiments mentioned in text book or PSI, we tried to come out wif our own.. haha... we were suppose to use the Visking tubing (semi-permeable membrane), but it was very expensive!! i remember RM 60 for 1 meter... TIPU MONEY DE~~

haha... then we consulted Ms Lau and she proposed us to try using balloons coz she recalled that balloon is also considered a permeable membrane except the permeability may be lower!! so... we did a trial... and below are some pics... enjoy frenz!! haha LOL

14 June 2005 - Piasau Trip

haha... went to Piasau this afternoon at 2pm... did our Malaysian Studies Group Assignment Field Trip!! we are doin a research on the Melanau ethnic group!! ahaha... went to conduct an interview!! hohoo~~ very funny the way we knew this family!! it started yesterday when we drove down town to the Miri Heritage Centre to ask for more information about ethnic groups... we asked one of the lady there about whether theres any ethnic group other than Iban that we can conduct research coz almost everyone in this sem taking Msian Studies is doin Ibans!! so we were thinking to do somethin special... then she proposed Melanaus... and ask us to go around Piasau to ask about... haha... we actually did that... went to piasau!! went in circles... and stop by certain houses (which we dono) and asked whether we can make an appointment another for an interview!! Suprisingly, one lady is kind enuf to let us interview them... and we made an appointment this afternoon... here are some of the pics we did... Indeed we had a great harvest!! haha... alot of informations... and pics!! =) keke... thanks to the Melanaus!! u guyz rock!! =)

hii its 9.44am in the morning now!! haha... sun is shining brightly in the sky!! keke... =) well... last week was terrible... haze problem is the worst ever since i came to Miri... There's even one day when we cant even see what is below our flat!! totally covered by the haze!! haiz... really cham...

Rodson is back!! he went back to Trusan, Lawas during the Gawai holz... Sunday nite had a grand dinner wif all of my frenz... including Happy Tree Friends (HTF)-Edwin, and Snailz-Aldrich!! haha... well... since we called him snail, of coz late de lar... kaka... Then after dinner, had a great chat wif Ed... well never chat wif him so close b4!! =) understood a lot of his true feelings!! Ed, in case u r reading this!! DOn think too much... i think sometimes, you are quite similar to me... like to imagine things, think out of the possibilities!! Try to enjoy life Ed!! I understand how u feel... I TOTALLY DO!! coz i experienced it all day too... but i can still stay happy!! Juz try not to think too much... even if that particular time, when u were feeling down, theres always another fren who will be there for u!! =) I believe God will put everything in place!! Try to use wat God has given u... Friends!! =) Smile Alwayz... ED!!! =)

Yesterday we got back out IT paper!! well... i thought i was failing... but suprising i still got quite a satisfying mark!! =) I PASSED!! haha... Then at nite, we were suppose to do our research proposal together (me and rod) but... i screwed up everything... im stupid lar... if i didnt blew up suddenly on WOng... everything wouldnt happened!!! Im sorry Wong... i was kinda too harsh... and also Rodson... i oso know u were quite mad last nite... Im sorry!! =) TRULY... deep down in my heart!! I should really learn to control my temper!! =(

Juz finished physic test today!! haha... luckily it was quite easy!! most of the questions came out from the pass year papers!! haha LOL... so quite happy today!! =)

THen i got back my chemistry papers... haha quite happy wif it oso... haha really lucky!! =)

Starting tomolo will be Gawai holz... well not goin back to KK but then dono whether will feel bored!! haha... tomolo planning to go on a cinema craze!! haha... watch 3 continuously wah... Cheng's idea!! haha...

Rodson went back to Lawas liao... kinda miss him!! haha... coz every nite usually he'll come up to my room, and we go eat dinner together... now... i guezz i wont be expecting anybody to knock on my door during 5:30pm this week!! =(

hii frenz... long time didnt update my blog... haha... im VELI busy last week!! haha... theres an english assignment due!! then... there is 2 tests, both in one day!! CHemistry and Maths... haiz... dono wat to do...
